14.  CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY

You will find posted at the following website, http://www2.utmb.edu/compliance/,

a copy of the Conflict of Interest Policy that is now in effect at UTMB.  This policy applies specifically to all faculty and A&P employees, as well as any faculty agent, staff, student, fellow, trainee, or administrator, who under the aegis of the institution conducts research involving human subjects.  All members of the Faculty of Medicine, in particular, are urged to read and be familiar with this policy.  Further information will be forthcoming shortly from the University’s Conflict of Interest Officer, Dr. Adrian Perachio, on the implementation of the active annual reporting process that will be required of the individuals covered by this policy.
